C.L.I.M.B. ™

LIFE CENTERS FOR AMERICA

LCA provides programs and services to people to aid and assist them in restoring their life with spiritual, emotional and physical assistance through a three year program known as C.L.I.M.B. Choosing Life, Independence and self-Managing Behavior.

The CLIMB program is a comprehensive three phase program conducted by qualified service providers which focus on developing self sufficiency through restoration. It begins a evaluation of the person or family seeking assistance to determine the needs and develop the best plan to accomplish maximum results at minimum expense.

    The Evaluation may include:

Psychological, General Physical, Spiritual, Financial, Social History - Relationships Family and Vocational Testing.

Acceptance into the program involves commitment to a Three Phase plan. During the program a advisor/facilitator (case mgr.) and a mentor are assigned and the mentor meets at least once a week with the participant.

Phase ONE - Education or Re-education

         The Individual Develops:

A Career (Employment) Plan, Family Plan, Educational Plan and a Recovery Plan. Counseling and legal assistance and or referrals as needed. A Financial Planning course, spiritual counseling, are available to all participants.

The objectives are to introduce a measure of building self-esteem in a stable environment. Teaching the participant that they know more than they think and are able to do more than they believe possible.

    Phase TWO - Application

In the second Phase the participant applies what they have learned in Phase ONE to everyday living by actively pursuing personal, family, educational and employment goals with continued reinforcement from the Life Center's staff and volunteers. The participant becomes self-sufficient as they progress through the program. The objective is to provide a support system to the participant and ensures their greatest potential is achieved.

    PHASE THREE - Restoration

During the Third Phase the participant functions as a mentor to first and second year program participants as he becomes a totally self-sufficient and productive individual. The objective is to reinforce the participants ability to teach others what they have learned or to pass it on.
